The Ivy & James cooking up comfort in Evelyn’s Park

Ringed by herbs and flower beds outside, the room is washed in white, wood and hues of blue with lofty beams soaring above a handful of tables and the coffee bar/order counter.

For now, the cafe is a counter-service operation serving breakfast (muffins, granola and yogurt, biscuits and gravy, mixed fruit) and lunch – think salads, charcuterie, hummus and pita, flat breads and sandwiches.

Sweet treats include Good Pop popsicles, ice cream cones and tiramisu.

Captain’s Chicken (yogurt- and buttermilk-brined chicken served with mashed potatoes and green beans); shrimp and grits; Saint Arnold root beer-braised short ribs with white cheddar polenta; blue crab cakes; and Meyer lemon icebox cake.
